The last lunation of July was a Full Moon in Capricorn on Sunday, July 21. This full moon’s conjunction with Pluto and trine with Mars and Uranus in Taurus may have danced on old wounds and activated survival mechanisms, but it also gave us the power to face our triggers head on (Moon and Pluto) and have the courage to act differently (Mars and Uranus). Pluto likes to dig things up; it represents the life-death-life cycle of creation and destruction and when it holds hands with the moon, it walks us right up to our thoughts, feelings, and motivations and makes us take a good look.
Pluto is an authoritarian planet, representing power whether its put to good use or abused and misused. What do we mean when we say someone is the “lesser of two evils”, but they uphold the very same ideals and policies that “the greater of the two” upholds? This month has a lot of energy that can inspire change for the greater good and if we carry the theme of the last lunation in July, we can change who and what we give our power to. One person, policy, or election will not save us, but our collective work and the effort we put into strengthening our communities and supporting each other will.
